2012 - 2013

Charlotte Starts Her Passion Project, Soko Glam, in Seoul

After spending five years in beauty-and-skin-care-obsessed Korea, Charlotte transformed her obsession with skincare into a passion project. The goal for Soko Glam was to help Western customers discover Korean cosmetics, beauty trends, and skin care regimens as there weren’t many reliable resources in the U.S. for those that wanted to learn about or buy Korean skin care products.

One year later in an effort to bring the U.S. even closer to these products, Charlotte and Dave packed up their life in Seoul and moved Soko Glam headquarters to New York City.

The First-Ever Best of K-Beauty Campaign Launches

In late 2013, Soko Glam introduced the first-ever Best of K-Beauty™ Awards! The Soko Glam Best of K-Beauty™ Awards highlights the best curated products of the year based on its best-seller status and rave reviews from our community and Team Soko Glam!

After the Best of K-Beauty™ Award recipients are crowned, we then pass the baton over to the real tried-and-true skin experts: our community — to help choose one award-winning holy grail product, also known as Soko Glams’ People's Choice Award.

The Korean 10-Step Skin Care Routine

  • Charlotte coined the 10-step skin care routine to provide education on the various steps in skin care that you can use depending on your skin care goals. The 10-step skin care routine isn’t just about having more products, it is more about understanding your skin care needs and choosing the right products that work best for you.

     

2015

The Little Book of Skin care Hits Shelves Nationwide

As a licensed aesthetician, Charlotte continued to share her knowledge on skin care and in 2015, The Little Book of Skin Care hit shelves nationwide! The Little Book of Skin Care guides you through step-by-step tutorials, skin care tips/tricks, beauty secrets and advice on all things k-beauty.

Thanks to our community for spreading the word and sharing your love, because The Little Book of Skin Care is now available in over 7 different languages.

The Klog Re-launch

 

  • We loved talking about skin care, that we decided to re-launch The Klog as a stand-alone website as a way to connect with our community even more. Inspired to provide the community with in-depth skin care knowledge, The Klog is your inside source for all things Korean beauty (skin care, makeup, culture, lifestyle and more).

Soko Glam x Triple C Exclusive Product Collaboration

Triple C stands for 3C’s; Charlotte, COSRX and Vitamin C. The Triple C Lightning Liquid was created with a mission to bring the freshest form of Vitamin C to the market! After selling out within four hours of its debut in April, our community had a hard time getting their hands on this treatment which resulted in a 10K person waitlist. 2 years later, The Triple C Lightning Liquid continues to be a cult favorite with more than 800 rave reviews and counting.

Soko Glam x Bloomingdale's Pop-up Shop

Many asked and we listened. In 2017, we brought the Soko Glam experience to our community in-real-life through an exclusive pop-up experience at Bloomingdale's in SoHo, NYC. We had so much fun meeting and speaking with our community that we are continually looking to find ways to bring the Soko Glam experience to you.

2018

Soko Glam Brings the Best of Korea to NYC

In February 2018, we wanted to bring the best of Korea directly to NYC with an experiential pop-up, celebrating the special games in PyeongChang, Korea. The two day event featured K-Food and Drink, K-Pop, winter sports, VR and K-Beauty of course.
