If my skin could talk, it would say how soothing and hydrating this essence feels after application. If my skin feels rough and I need to rebuild its barrier, I can rely on this as part of my basic routine. There have been a couple of times when I've forgotten to apply moisturizer afterward, but this has kept me hydrated throughout the day. I highly recommend giving this a shot. I can't do hyaluronic acid, which is unfortunately in everything. Been using snow mushroom for a few years instead, and love how affordable and well this works!
Imho, if you're wondering if you'll react to it, it's just one ingredient so my guess is if you're sensitive to mushroom maybe this is a pass. The good news is if you react to it, you know that any snow mushroom product is out. For me, I'm the opposite and my skin loves snow mushroom. YMMV!

My skin absolutely loved this product. It feels very gentle and soothing, and I find that layering it under a cream provides the perfect amount of hydration for my skin. The bottle is a good size, so it lasts a while even when using it twice a day. I will definitely be repurchasing once my bottle runs out.

Not sure why my review was never posted, but I purchased this awhile back hoping it would be a light, hydrating essence. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin that’s also been getting more dry over the past few years, so I just wanted something simple and this seemed promising enough. Unfortunately, it was an actual complete let down — I don’t think I’d felt this disappointed over a product in awhile. Did the complete opposite of all of the claims for me; it dried me out, irritated my skin, and smelled like some sort of weird alcoholic concoction. Consistency was also really thin, almost like water, so application could be a bit tricky/messy. Might just be my skin, but if you have sensitive skin maybe consider a different option or only try this when on sale.
