OUR MUSE: Sheryll From The Wanderlust Project
Sheryll
from The Wanderlust Project
SHERYLL IS:
The writer of the popular lifestyle, travel and beauty blog, The Wanderlust Project. She satisfies her wanderlust by traveling around the world, but calls Korea home - for now. She's an English teacher by day and blogger by night. Her favorite topics are about her travels and Korean beauty product obsessions!
ON STARTING THE WANDERLUST PROJECT:
“The Wanderlust Project started as a blog to document my quarter-life crisis. I left my office job behind to travel across Europe and throughout Asia. I've learned so much more about life from my travels than I would have just sitting behind a desk from nine to five. Now that I am living in Korea, I blog about my obsession with Korean cosmetics, and share photos of my travels.”
ON HER TRAVEL ADVENTURES:
“I really wanted to travel everywhere, so I made a giant list and narrowed it down. For now, I’m focusing on Asia. After that, I’m thinking about going to Mexico because I really want to learn Spanish. Travelling by my wanderlust instincts is so liberating and fulfilling."
ON HER K-BEAUTY ADVENTURES:
“Korean cosmetics are so fun and adventurous! Incredible products made of snail mucus, bee venom, snake venom, and volcanic ash. There are so many interesting products that I can't ever imagine seeing in the US.”
ON HER SKINCARE ROUTINE"
“I'll never, ever give up the Korean skincare routine. Before I moved to Korea, I had awful skin. Acne, acne scars, discoloration and dull. After I started using Korean products and following the Korean skincare routine, my skin changed drastically. I posted a before and after on my blog and people still e-mail asking how I cleared up my skin. I always double cleanse, apply toner, serum, emulsion, cream, and eye cream. At night I use a sleeping pack.”
ON HER K-BEAUTY FAVS:
“I'm beyond obsessed with Missha and their incredible dupes for super expensive products like the Missha First Treatment Essence (vs. the SK II Facial Treatment Essence) and the Missha Time Revolution Ampoule (vs. the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair). Every single product I have tried from Missha is just incredible. I also really, really love Innisfree and their products made of natural ingredients, without parabens and other harmful ingredients. Their body butters are my absolute favorites, along with their oil cleansers and eye creams.”
ON HER BEAUTY-LUST PROJECT:
“My beauty-lust project is to be more adventurous with my makeup. I want to find new looks for myself, other than my usual bronzed smokey eyes, rose blush and nude lips. I also want to finally learn how to do my brows!”
