Lime Sunday Refresh Shampoo

It does the job, removes buildup from products and it’s great for oily scalp! Gentle enough for daily use, this is the third time I am purchasing it, I try to make a purchase during promotion days if possible, only con it is on the pricier side. The scent does not bother me but can me a bit on the heavier side for some. Otherwise it’s a great product.

This is not a lime, or even citrus smelling shampoo. The combination of tea tree and mint creates an almost pine-like smell that completely overwhelms all the citrus oils included in the ingredients. You'd have to be a sommelier with a super nose to detect any scent of lime. I certainly can't.

That being said, I don't hate the smell. The scent tends to lean more towards the masculine side, I can even detect some notes of cedar (often times cedar oil is used in the "parfum" mix mentioned in the long list of ingredients), especially in the conditioner. A little goes a long way. I'm just re-ordering my second bottle and I purchased my first bottle in April of '25. Also, my hair is very long (down toward my lower back). For that kind of longevity alone, I would consider re-ordering. If you can get over the lack of detectable citrus in the fragrance, you will be pleasantly surprised with this shampoo.

Lately, I noticed that my scalp was itching more frequently and intensely than before. I've tried other shampoos, but they either didn't work or went out of stock. Ever since I tried this shampoo and started using it regularly, my itchiness has been greatly reduced. to the point where I don't even remember the last time I needed to actually scratch it like before.

For context, I have an oily skin type, at least in regards to my face. I tend to sweat more than others. I have long, straight, black hair that gets visibly "oily" if I go more than several days without washing it or other upkeep. My itchy scalp was not accompanied by redness, flakes, or visible rashes; in other words, frequent and sometimes itching was the only symptom.

The shampoo itself has a mild scent that is a bit citrus-y, a bit woody. If we're gendering scents, it would fall more gender neutral, leaning to masculine. The scent quickly disappears after your hair dries, or maybe I've gotten noseblind. It is green, with a non-sticky gel texture. There are small exfoliating particles that you may feel when massaging your head, but they are not rough in my opinion.

I hope Soko Glam doesn't discontinue this product on their website! I know there are other sites it is available on, but I prefer to get my skincare and bodycare together from one place.

This smells incredible and my husband even commented on how great it smelled on me! The feeling of the shampoo on your scalp is cooling and does a great job of cleaning your hair without stripping it dry. I have pretty dry and frizzy hair but this shampoo (paired with the lime conditioner) made my hair very soft and shiny.

I would definitely repurchase this and considering getting these as gifts.

One note: my shampoo didn’t come with a pump which is the only downside.
