Rice Serum

This serum is just lovely, I used it for a few months and I haven’t seen an incredible difference in evenness of my skin tone but I am 4 months postpartum and my skin has been up and down a bit. That being said it’s super moisturizing, it has a lovely feel when applying and leaves a beautiful glowy look afterwards. I did try mixing it with the rice moisturizer from the same line and that was a game changer! It’s a great serum for moisturizing!

I really think this product is the one that has stopped my redness in it's tracks. I have always had really prone, sensitive skin that gets red around my nose, cheeks, and sometimes forehead. I've been using this essence on rotation for the last 6 months, and wow. This serum really soothes, and brightens out skin tone. On an extra sensitive skin day, I reach for this every time. I will absolutely be repurchasing.

My review is a bit torn for this— on one hand, I would definitely say this serum did not cause any visible benefits for me. At first, I would have said this wasn’t doing any harm to my skin, either. But after a few weeks of daily use I noticed closed comedones popping up all along my cheeks and jaw creating unpleasant texture on my skin. These seem to have cleared up when I discontinued use of this product. I’m surprised, given how much I love the rice water toner from this brand.

I tried this serum to see if it would help with some discoloration and unevenness on my forehead and cheeks. It helped minimize the darker spots as well as improving the skin texture, which was a bonus. I liked it enough to buy another bottle after the first was gone. Doesn't take a lot - typically two pumps is enough for my face and neck.
