My skin is a frustrating combination of being oily/acne-prone but also very prone to dehydration, even when I'm not using actives. It is a nightmare trying to find products that will hydrate my skin and support my skin barrier without making me oilier, but THIS toner is absolutely perfect!
After double cleansing my face, I apply this toner to slightly damp skin, wait for it to dry, then apply a second layer. I find I don't need to use a moisturizer with this method, and I wake up with my skin plump and hydrated without ANY closed comedones or new breakouts. On days its extremely cold and dry outside I'll also use a tiny bit of Laneige cream skin toner or a lightweight moisturizer to seal everything in.
Another thing I love about this toner is that the hydration level feels very buildable to me - on days its hot and humid I find I can get away with just one layer, but in the winter when I need extra skin barrier support I can layer on 2-3 layers. It also layers wonderfully under make up!

I started this because of the PH 5. 5, the soothing ingredients and has no hyaluronic acid. Butylene glycol is #12 out of 15 ingredients.
It works very well, is calming and hydrates my sensitive mature skin.

I don't even know how many times I have purchased this toner. Ten times? More? I've used it for years. Definitely a holy grail. Not only does it never bother my sensitive, combination skin, but it helps calm down any irritation (acne, windburn, etc. ). Super soothing but leaves no residue. It also helps refine my pores. Bottle design is also great. Easy to see how much is left and the toner dispenses easily onto a cotton pad or the hands.
